Let’s Assemble the Quilt
It’s our final week of sewing, and now it’s time to bring all your blocks together. This week’s instructions guide you through assembling the quilt center, adding sashing and borders, and preparing the finished quilt top.
The layout highlights each block in a clean, balanced way and gives your seasonal quilt a polished frame. With a little care during assembly, your finished quilt will come together beautifully.
Tips for Finishing
- Lay everything out first. Arrange your blocks and sashing on a flat surface to make sure your colors and prints are balanced before sewing.
- Measure carefully. Before adding borders, check the size of your quilt center to make sure everything lines up evenly.
- Join your binding strips diagonally. This helps reduce bulk and creates a smoother edge when it’s time to bind.
Once finished, your quilt top should measure approximately 31 1/2" x 32 1/2".
