Boo To You Mystery Quilt Along - Week 1

Week 1: Boo To You Banner Block

Welcome to Week 1 of the Boo To You Mystery Quilt Along!

The mystery officially begins, and I am so excited to start this quilt with all of you. This week's block is the Boo To You Banner Block, and it is such a fun way to kick off the quilt. Even though we don't know what the finished quilt will look like yet, it's always exciting to watch the design begin to take shape one block at a time.

For my quilt, I'm sewing with a selection of Hush Hush 5 prints, including my Foraging design, paired with Riley Blake Basics. It's always fun to see how different fabric choices give a mystery quilt its own personality.

This Week's Block

This week we'll be making the Boo To You Banner Block, which finishes at 11½" x 20½" before it becomes part of the final quilt.

Take your time as you work through the block. Since this is the first week, it's a great opportunity to become familiar with the cutting instructions and construction techniques that will be used throughout the Quilt Along.

A Helpful Tip

Before you begin sewing, label or stack the pieces for each section of the banner. Keeping similar fabrics grouped together makes assembly much easier and helps prevent mixing up small pieces as you sew.

Keep the Mystery Alive

One of the best parts of this Quilt Along is the surprise each week.

Please wait until the block has officially been released before sharing photos of your finished block so everyone can enjoy discovering the mystery together.
