Cherry Tree Lane Quilt-Along: Week 2
Welcome to Week 2 of the Cherry Tree Lane Panel Quilt Sew-Along.
This is where your quilt begins to take shape. After a week of preparing and organizing, you are now ready to start sewing and see your pieces come together.
What We Are Focusing On This Week
This week, you will be sewing the House Blocks.
Each block adds a part to your Cherry Tree Lane scene, and this is where your quilt starts to feel like a story coming together piece by piece.
Take your time with each section and enjoy watching your fabrics work together.
Building Your House Blocks
Before you begin sewing, take a moment to lay out all your pieces for each block.
This simple step helps you:
- Check your placement
- See how your fabrics work together
- Avoid having to unpick seams later
If you are using prints with small details, this is a great opportunity to fussy cut your windows and doors so they stand out in your finished quilt.
A Helpful Tip for This Week
Sew in small sections and press as you go.
Working step by step will help your blocks stay accurate and keep everything lined up as you build each piece. Taking a little extra care here will make assembling your quilt much smoother later.
