Cherry Tree Lane Quilt-Along: Week 3

Welcome to Week 3 of the Cherry Tree Lane Panel Quilt Sew-Along.

This week adds some of the most recognizable details to your quilt. These are the pieces that bring movement and personality to your scene and start to tell the full story.

What We Are Focusing On This Week

This week, you will be sewing the Street Lamp, Balloon, and Kite blocks.

Each of these blocks adds a different element to your quilt. Together, they help create the feeling of a full neighborhood scene surrounding your panel.

Take your time as you move through each one and enjoy the variety in this week’s sewing.

Working Through the Smaller Details

This week includes a mix of shapes and smaller pieces, so slowing down just a little can make a big difference.

Sewing at a steady pace and pressing as you go will help your blocks stay accurate and flat. If something feels slightly off, pause and adjust before moving on to the next step.

These small adjustments now will make assembling your quilt much easier in the final week.

A Helpful Tip for This Week

Focus on one block at a time.

Instead of jumping between sections, complete one block from start to finish. This helps you stay organized and gives you a clear sense of progress as you go.

You may even find that each block feels like its own small finish.
