Decorate the Tree: Christmas Keepsake Quilt
The holiday season is just around the corner, and November is the perfect time to settle into your sewing room with a festive quilt project.
This month inside the Sew A Story Pattern Club, we’re making the Decorate the Tree: Christmas Keepsake Quilt.
At the center of the quilt is the Decorate the Tree panel, surrounded by pieced star blocks and layers of festive borders. The finished quilt measures 63 1/2" × 69 1/2" and is shown in my Nutcracker Tradition fabric collection for Riley Blake Designs.

A Festive Quilt for the Season
The star blocks add a traditional holiday feel around the illustrated Christmas tree panel, while the borders frame the entire scene and bring the fabrics together.
This is a beginner-level, traditionally pieced quilt, making it a lovely project to work on as you begin preparing your home for the holidays.
You’ll also get to practice the Stitch and Flip method while creating the star blocks that surround the center panel.

Inside Pattern Club
Pattern Club members receive the Decorate the Tree: Christmas Keepsake Quilt as part of their November membership, along with this month’s craft pattern and collectible Notes Page.
Members can also share their progress, ask questions, and connect with fellow makers inside the Pattern Club community.
Whether this quilt becomes part of your holiday decorating or a handmade piece you bring out year after year, I hope you enjoy every step of creating it.
I can’t wait to see what you create!
Yours in storytelling creativity,
Jennifer Long
