Getting Ready for the Thimbelina Felt Panel Sew-Along

Welcome to the Thimbelina Felt Panel Sew-Along! I am so excited to stitch this magical project with you. This Sew-Along is all about imagination, storytelling, and bringing the sweet world of Thimbelina to life through handmade play.

Over the next four weeks, we’ll create a whimsical set of felt dolls, accessories, and a storybook scene inspired by the Thimbelina collection. Whether you’re sewing for a child, decorating a playroom, or creating a keepsake gift, this project is filled with creativity, color, and heart.

What You’ll Need

Before we get started, gather your materials so you’re ready to sew along.

Required Supplies:

• (1) Thimbelina Felt Panel
  
• Basic sewing supplies: scissors, pins, hand sewing needle, and thread
  
• Sewing machine (optional)
  
  
  

Optional Supplies:

• Embroidery floss for embellishments
  
• Sparkle Paste and Sparkle Stencil
  
• HeatnBond for extra stability
  
• Basic white craft felt (for backing or support)
  
• Turning tool or chopstick
  
  
  

The Sew-Along Schedule

Here’s what we’ll be working on each week:

Week 1 – Gather, Dream & Begin (November 5)
Cut out your felt panel pieces, prepare your supplies, and start imagining how your Thimbelina story will unfold.

Week 2 – Bring Thimbelina to Life (November 12)
Sew and embellish Thimbelina’s main pieces, adding hand stitching or creative details that make her unique.

Week 3 – Create the World of Thimbelina (November 19)
Assemble the storybook backdrop and stitch the scene where Thimbelina’s adventures take place.

Week 4 – Finishing Touches & Sparkle of Magic (November 26)
Add the final embellishments, secure any seams, and share your finished project.
