Nutcracker Felt Panel Sew-Along: Week 3

Welcome to Week 3 of the Nutcracker Felt Panel Sew-Along!

This week we are ready to stitch and finish our characters.

Now that your pieces are cut and any embellishments have been added, it is time to give your Nutcracker characters a finished back and stitch everything together.

This Week’s Goal

If you are using white craft felt or interfacing, layer it behind each character before stitching.

Then sew around each piece, following the printed seam allowance on the panel. A shorter stitch length can be helpful as you sew around the smaller curves and details.

Once your character is stitched, carefully trim the backing felt and interfacing to match the printed outline.

Continue the same way with your characters, animals, and accessories.

Remember, you can keep this project simple. If you are not using interfacing, that is completely fine too.
