Welcome to Week 1 of the Soft Book Panel SAL. This week, we’re starting simple: gathering supplies, cutting our panel pieces, and preparing any special details like Sparkle Paste or embroidery accents.

The book panel is filled with texture, color, and storytelling possibilities. Whether you're sewing every page exactly as printed or adding your own embellishments, this is your time to slow down and enjoy the creative process.

This Week’s Tip: Prep for Sparkle

If you're planning to use HeatnBond Sparkle Paste on your panel, apply it before cutting out any shapes. It’s much easier to press and dry when the fabric is flat and untrimmed. Let it dry completely before moving on to cutting.

You can add sparkle to the stars, sun, and water to highlight the beauty of each creation day.

What to Do This Week

• Cut out all book pages and small pieces from the panel
  
• Apply optional Sparkle Paste
  
• Plan your layout and any embroidery you want to include
  
• Fuse fleece to the back of your pages to give them softness and structure
