Soft Book Panel Sew-Along – Week 2

Embroider, Embellish & Prepare the Pages

This week in the Soft Book Panel SAL, we’re adding personal touches and getting each page ready for construction. Whether you're embellishing with embroidery, using Sparkle Paste, or keeping things simple, now is the time to let the pages come to life.

You’ll also start layering the pages with fusible fleece if you haven’t already, and begin assembling the base structure for each spread.

This Week’s Tip: Keep It Flat

If you’re adding any embellishments to your pages, make sure they stay soft and flat. Avoid bulky knots or raised trims that will make the book hard to close. Running stitches, backstitch outlines, and gentle sparkle work well without creating extra thickness.

This helps the book stay easy to handle and makes page turning smooth and simple for little hands.

What to Do This Week

• Embellish pages with embroidery or other accents
  
• Fuse fleece to each page if you haven’t already
  
• Trim pages and prep them for pairing
  
• Group pages into their correct order (left and right spreads)
