Keep Sewing and Finding Your Rhythm

This week we’re continuing with our Strippy Spools blocks. If you’ve already sewn your first two, you’ve got a good feel for the process. Now it’s time to keep the momentum going and enjoy how the pieces come together.

This Week’s Tip

If you're chain piecing multiple blocks, try sorting your strips into small piles by color or value. It will help you mix up your fabric placement as you sew, and give your finished quilt a balanced, scrappy look.

You can continue sewing a few blocks at a time, or batch-cut and piece your strip units in one sitting. There’s no right or wrong way to move forward.
