Strippy Spools Sew Along β Week 4
Staying Organized as You Sew
It is Week 4 of the SAL, and by now you may be starting to think about how your blocks will come together in the final layout. This is a good time to pause and take stock of what you have made so far, what colors or prints you have used, and how you want the rest of your quilt to look and feel.
This Week’s Tip
Try laying out your finished blocks and snapping a quick photo. Looking at your quilt from a distance helps you spot any repeated colors or patterns that could use more variety. This is especially helpful if you are working with precuts or a mix of scrappy strips.
You can use the photo as a guide as you finish the remaining blocks, and it will help you plan a balanced layout when it is time to assemble the quilt top.
Share Your Progress
How many blocks have you finished so far? I would love to see your layout or in-progress stack. Tag @sewastory_jenniferlong and @fatquartershop and use #FQSStrippySpoolsQuilt when you post.
Keep sewing at your own pace. There is still plenty of time to enjoy the process.
