Strippy Spools Sew Along β Week 5
Finishing Blocks and Planning for Assembly
Welcome to Week 5 of the Sew-Along. This is a great time to finish up any remaining Strippy Spools blocks and begin thinking about how you want to lay out your quilt top.
Whether you are sewing the lap or twin version, a little planning now can make assembly feel calm and enjoyable later.
This Week’s Tip
Use painter’s tape or sticky notes to label your finished blocks. You can mark rows, color placement, or even the order you plan to sew them in. Keeping things labeled now will save time and guesswork when you begin joining the rows and adding borders.
You might also consider laying everything out on a design wall or large surface so you can preview your final quilt arrangement before committing.
Share Your Progress
If you have finished a full set of blocks or started arranging your layout, I would love to see it. Tag @sewastory_jenniferlong and @fatquartershop and use #FQSStrippySpoolsQuilt when you post.
Let’s keep moving forward one step at a time.
