Before you begin, take a few minutes to look over your felt panel. Notice all the charming illustrations, the storybook details, and how each piece comes together to create the world of Thimbelina.
This Week’s Focus
Gather your supplies, cut out your pieces, and begin planning your embellishments. This is the time to think about how you want your Thimbelina to look and what details will make her unique.
Here’s what to do this week:
- Cut out all pieces along the printed cut lines on your felt panel.
- Prepare any stabilizer, HeatnBond, or craft felt you’ll be using for backing.
- Organize your small pieces in labeled envelopes or trays to keep things tidy.
- If you plan to embellish, gather embroidery floss, Sparkle Paste, or sequins.
Tips for Success
- Keep a small basket or box just for this project so everything stays together.
- Cut carefully along the printed lines for the best results.
- If you’re sewing with a child, let them help choose colors and decorations.
